DARKANE: Studio Video Diary Part 2 Available

March 14, 2008

Drummer Peter Wildoer of the Swedish thrashers DARKANE has issued the following update from the recording sessions for the group's new studio album, due later in the year via Nuclear Blast Records:

"Here is the second video blog from the studio. This video features setting up the drums, tuning, putting mics on the kit and me jamming on the drums. This means a lot of true drum nerd stuff! As you might notice we'll be trying to put up this video blog quite frequently and the next one will feature me recording the drums. So until then, enjoy this in-depth drum video."

Watch the clip below.

DARKANE played its first show with new singer Jens Broman (CONSTRUCDEAD, THE DEFACED) in November 2007 at the ProgPower Scandinavia festival in Copenhagen, Denmark. According to guitarist Christofer Malmström, "Jens enjoyed every second of the show, and so did the rest of us. Our former vocalist Andreas was in the audience to support us, and he was very postive afterwards... along with the rest of the crowd."

DARKANE's upcoming DVD was shot in May 2006 in the band's hometown of Helsingborg, Sweden.

DARKANE has been confirmed for Chicago Powerfest 2008. The sixth annual metal festival will take place on Friday/Saturday, May 2-3, at The Pearl Room in Mokena, IL. There will also be an official Powerfest "kick-off" show on May 1, featuring ENSIFERUM, TURISAS, TYR and ELUVEITIE, who will be making a stop along their Paganfest tour.
